Default What magic best?

Sorry if there were threads like this before this one, but can someone tell me what the best magic for an ele is and why in PVE and in PVP?
I want to do aoe currently fire builds, also have a little water and earth, but still duno which way to go for general pve build in teams or soloing stuff

first of Fire is mainly the saddest element there is, it sucks against high level foes and many places have high AL vs fire, fire is the easiest to use it'salso fun to set something on fire :devil:

but i usually use Earth it has great AOE damage + good self defense, remember earth goes through armor

Air is good against high level foes + blinding surge is awesome

Water is SNaring foes wich is better in PvP than in PvE

For most pve, fire.
Against else in pve, air.
Generally in pvp, air.
water may be snare sometimes.
Earth is only for wards.

It's true Titans, Torment Creatures and Destroyers all have high armor versus fire, but that doesn't make it suck. For any area until you reach the higher level foes it descimates most things in your path.

In Normal Mode PvE Fire Magic works pretty well all round, as does Earth for AoE damage, though Earth has more utility. I find Air's place to be in Hard Mode, where physicals need to be blinded, and cracked armor works well too.

lol no. They are a big part of Earth Magic...but sure isn't the "only" thing it can do.

Not all Earth Magic is armor ignoring. Earth does have very nice AoE spells, it can blind (Eruption), AoE Knockdown (Unsteady Ground, Dragon's Stomp), and provide further party support through the use of Wards. I've never found the Armor Ignoring skills to be that great tbh, at least, not got general PvE play. Some people like Obsidian Flame...and it's ok in my opinion, but I hate the exhaustion on that. Magnetic Surge is nice.

In PvE a Mind Blast / Rodgort's Invication / Warder build is nice. It has the high damage and burning from Rodgort's Invocation, Supreme Energy Management from Mind Blast and Fire Attunement, and party support through wards. Something like this is pretty good:

[skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Mind Blast[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Fireball[/skill][skill]Mark of Rodgort[/skill][skill]Ward Against Melee[/skill][skill]Ward Against Elements[/skill] + Optional
Attributes something like:
Fire Magic: 12 + 1 + rune
Energy Storage: 9 + 1
Earth Magic: 9 + 1

PvP is where my Elementalist knowledge is lacking a little. I have heard Mind Blast builds are popular, as is Air Magic. Physical damage dealers tend to be King of PvP, so I guess Air Magic with Blinding Surge, Shell Shock, Enervating Charge would prove valuable?

Earth damage doesn't go through armor. Earth has 2-3 spells that inflict armor-ignoring damage, not Earth damage.

Mind blast owns in PvP.
Bsurge works wonders also
Water hexing is for High end Pvp
Shatterstone for RA/TA
Earth wards are ok

Thats my take on pvp
on pve
Fire for most anything if you run into al against fire foes they usually are weak against cold so bring winter.
Air with epidemic with cracked armor and blind really goes far.
Earth is ok in PVE
Water is generally not that good cept for snaring while farming.
